My life as salesperson has changed quite a lot in recent years. One can say that it has been a change to the opposite. How it works nowadays is that I receive incoming requests. There are cases where the customer is so anxious to meet me so that I have had thoughts of not even spending time to book meetings. It's not quite as receiving orders but almost.
Previously, I had to struggle to reach the potential and busy customer. But a good brand and a searchable LinkedIn profile can more easily create interest in what you can contribute to your network.
